Regulations
Good to know before you ask
The International Energy Conservation Code, as adopted locally, sets air leakage limits for new homes and often requires a blower door test and a duct leakage test. Who may perform them is set by the building department.
Testing before the drywall goes up lets you fix leaks cheaply. We do not perform tests ourselves and do not show prices.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is a blower door test required?
For new homes in many states and cities that adopted recent energy codes, yes. Check with your building department.
What if the home fails?
Leaks are sealed and the test is repeated. A pre-drywall test reduces the risk.
Who can perform it?
A tester accepted by the building department, often RESNET or BPI certified.
